Literature Text

Winter nights
First came the coldness
Falling down on me like snow
Then shivering uncontrollably
Like the trees outside my window
Warmth then came upon me
A crystal blanket formed from my tears
It stayed for awhile, my blanket did
Kept me warm and safe
But the coldness came back
Blanket falling to the Snow Kingdom
Lost forever in the white snow around me
Falling through the cracks
Right into the ice cold ocean of my tears
As the ice turns my skin different shades
Purple, than blue
I begin to wonder...
Why did the warmth leave me?
Was I left alone to face this for a reason?
I can't fight anymore
As the dark water consumes me,
One last thought passes through my mind
Why must we all die alone?
This is how my winter nights are. except I don't die. just remembering is all. everything in this poem holds more meaning then it seems. at least for me. I know it's short, I don't care
